The two pairs of glasses came a week after my review, one pair was defective-the polarizing layer is off center leaving a gap at some edges. Rather than wait another 7 weeks I asked for a discount which was given, but not before trying to have me change my review to positive in exchange.

I'll never use this co. again.

I sent 2 pairs of eyeglasses for new lenses over 6weeks ago, they sent a tracking number 3 weeks ago but it still says "pending receipt" and also sent me an email saying my order was complete. They responded to one email claiming I'd have one pair of glasses last week and 2nd some time in the future, but nothing so far and now they won't respond to emails or voice messages. When you call you get a message that they have discontinued voice customer support and "promise" to respond within 24hrs, but don't. I even threatened to contact mastercard to reverse the charge and still no response. Based upon other reviews, it seems I may get the product in another few months, or never at all.

The first order occurred a few years ago. They were a pair of gradient tinted, rimless, prescription glasses. After waiting over a month, they arrived. When initially worn, they were crooked on my face. No amount of frame twisting could remedy the misalignment, which caused double-vision. After close inspection, I discovered that the holes drilled through the lenses where the bridge was mounted were misaligned. Also, the holes for each temple were not parallel. I took pictures of this mess on graph paper to prove the defect. A refund without the need to return the unusable glasses was eventually given. The second order occurred in 2016. They were a pair of clear rimless, prescription glasses. The wait was only 3 weeks this time. One plastic cap was glued backwards to the eye-facing surface of the lens to secure the bridge through the drilled hole, causing it to extend 2mm toward my eyeball, and weaken the mount to the bridge. I risk a scratched cornea should my airbag ever deploy. The third order occurred in 2016. They were a pair of brown-tinted, rimless, prescription glasses. The wait was 3 weeks. The installed lenses were the wrong size and shape despite explicit instructions on the web form and subsequent email. I sent photos of this error. I was required to mail them back at my own expense before a replacement could be sent. The replacement was not expedited, taking the same 3 weeks. This time, the tint was gray instead of brown. I sent photos to complain. The reply was that they were brown. I resent photos of the previous brown glasses with the wrong lenses to show them the difference and demanded a refund. They asked me to mail this second pair to them at my own expense. I filed a dispute with my credit card company.

Worst online purchase ever

Absolutely the worst on-line purchase I have ever made. Thankfully, I paid with PayPal. (hint). I placed a re-lensing order and paid with Pay Pal. Global Eyeglasses received my glasses on May 17. From there it went downhill. Their website says re-lensing in 7 working days. My glasses were finally received on July 8th. I sent nine (9) emails requesting a status update. Seven (7) were answered the same way; they are being expedited and should ship this, or next, week. Two were never answered. I asked for clarification on “should” or “will”; one of the emails with no answer. The sad part is these glasses were originally purchased from them 2 years ago with no problem. The last update I received said “…your glasses are currently in the final quality control check before shipping. They should be expedited by the end of next week”. This was June 3rd . On Saturday, July 2nd, I contacted PayPal to cancel the payment because the product was never received. Magically, my glasses made it to the post office on Saturday afternoon (of a holiday weekend) with the explanation “…we had shipping issues which delayed getting the lenses to NY”. This was posted on July 3rd. At no time during the communication was “shipping issues” ever mentioned. Only when Pay Pal was brought in to cancel the payment was this excuse mentioned. AN EXCUSE – NOT A REASON. (BTW, not getting the lenses is not a shipping issue, it is a supply/material issue) In my opinion, if they want to try to make excuses for their poor performance, do not try it with someone who has been in manufacturing and production management for over twenty years and heard all the excuses from people apparently more skilled at it than Global. With Global, it appears “customer service” is non-existent in the worst case and an oxymoron at best. People appreciate the truth, no matter how bad, as opposed to being misled. My next purchase will be from a competitor.

The lenses were ordered from our German Lab and were stuck in US Customs, hence the term 'shipping issues'. It was a mistake made by one of our junior customer service trainees.

She did not try to misled you, she only shared the information she had at the time.

We are truly sorry about the issue but the product was not delivered due to PayPal's involvement. It was coincidence that the US Customs released the shipment at the same time.

Once again, we are very sorry for the mishap.

..not Germany. I was given a same exercise for the delay.

Be aware.. the orders will take a about 2 months...

My experience with global eyeglasses was absolutely terrible. It took over a month from ordering for the glasses to arrive. Over that month-long period I emailed support several times. I would notice the glasses sitting with no status update and I got frustrated. Dealing with support made me want to pull out my hair. If I got a response it was to reassure me the glasses would be delivered by the end of the week. After countless lies and false promises via email my glasses arrived. They are terrible quality and I cannot see out of them. Please save yourself and don't make the terrible mistake I did. Don't buy from Global Eyeglasses.

Still waiting for my Glasses - Indefinitely!.......

My eyeglass frames were received by the Global on October 20, 2015 and today is November 22, 2015. That is 33 days, almost 5 weeks. They do not seem to care about how long the orders take. I live 60 miles from their address so I don't think natural disasters are a factor. I got a reply from the same person Aditi Sagar who does not seem to go out of his way to help. I asked perhaps my order was lost in the mail. He provided a tracking number which show that the package has been at his local post office for 11 days and still has not moved. I too am an EBAY seller. I have had problems and my post office has helped me to retrieve packages through the tracking system. My package, however, shows that it is still sitting in his local post office. No one in the company seems to be concerned if they put the correct postage or address on the item. What frustrates me is that I was going to send in another order to them if I was satisfied. I would first want to receive my initial order from them, however, they are ignoring my request to help initiate an investigation as to why my package is just sitting there. Customer satisfaction does not seem to come easy to this company. I really wish I had ordered from somewhere else, but I really need like these eyeglass frames and I want them back. How can I recommend them to anyone?

after being told they dont ship your order until the company has 200-250 orders to ship i expressed concern for why they charge for shipping and how they can ensure a 'ship by date' -- i was replied to by an agent (aditi sagar) who accused me of doing this with all my online purchases to get free product, called me SAD for doing it, and then issued me a refund i NEVER asked for. I never wanted nor asked for a refund, just my package to be shipped, and this is what i was told. horrible customer service and shipping protocols. dont waste your money, youll wait about a month to get your order anyway - go to eye buy direct or zenni...

Slow.. Slow shipping.. I sell stuff on ebay quite frequently and I mnow how long it takes to receive an item across the us.. its bull that my product was finished on the 22nd and wasn't even taken to the *** post office interim the 30th what type of eyeglass company is this.. I have testimony bad eye sight and that should always be taken into consideration when you run a businesses like this.. then they blame the *** post office.. it took then three days..it took you guys almost 2 *** weeks after the shipping label was created and the product was finished to even take it to the post office. I'm finished with this company because there are a lot of other eye glass companies that expedite the shipping at no extra cost. NEVER AGAIN!

NO! DON'T DO IT! Incorrect prescription, took months to return without full refund use Zenni Optical instead!

Ordered prescription sunglasses from global eyeglasses and no confirmation email should have been warning. After emailing and complaining after a month, sunglasses arrived with wrong prescription. Customer service would only reply once a week, and after following instructions to return sunglasses, Global Eyeglasses claimed they never received sunglasses. Only after proving the post office now provides tracking on all packages and sending postal receipt, did they admit they had glasses and would refund $ but they did not refund the full amount. The entire process started with ordering April 21, 2014 and was awarded partial refund August 5. DON'T DO IT, order with Zenni Optical instead.

I don't know yet that they're an honest business simply because since I ordered my pair of glasses which was a month ago, I've not been able to get in touch with them but once and it was not even by phone because they never answer. I had a one time chat with one of the reps who said my order would maybe ship in that same week we had spoken. It's been two weeks since I had that chat. The status of my order was emailed to me and is so vague. Not clear as to where my glasses are and obviously not shipped according to the email being there is no tracking number to my order. I'm beyond upset and I can't even express that to them because they won't answer their phone. Looks like I'll just have to patiently wait for my order though it's been a month and have no idea of it's status.

Happened to me too....

I ordered a pair of glasses from globaleyeglasses.com in December and returned them almost immediately. I contacted their customer service, they gave me a return number and I did exactly as I was instructed. Postal service confirms that the glasses were delivered to their return center. So, I immediately returned a pair of glasses on their "no hassle" return policy - tracking confirms delivery. Email after email, phone call after phone call and no response about a refund. No response is seriously aggravating - not even the courtesy to blow my off and steal my money. Now over a month. Kiss your money goodbye and avoid Global Eyeglasses.

Globaleyeglasses is a ripoff

My experience was awful. The prescription sun glasses I received had the wrong prescription and were very heavy, not the high index lens that I ordered. I returned the glasses for credit (after countless phone calls). Globaleyeglasses could not return the credit to my credit card for some reason. Instead they sent a check after many months and many phone calls and emails. I deposited the check and Bank America has now returned the check for insufficient funds and charged me a fee for the bounced check. Therefore, I definitely cannot recommend Globaleyeglasses and am sorry I tried them.

Worst Customer Service - Waiting for refund for over 5 weeks

I placed an Order on December 31, 2012 for $293 using Global Eyeglasses gift card which I purchased in Dec.2012 with my Visa credit card. The order was canceled on 01/04/13 as one of the eyeglasses was not bifocal. I was told refund will be processed within 24 to 48 hours and I have to place the order again but I have not received my refund yet as its been 5 weeks.I have been calling them 3 or more times a week and getting the same answer that money will be refunded. I have been put on hold for over 20 min each time and given same answer not to mention there is always a lot of noise at their end. I requested to speak to a manger, supervisor or owner each time and was told either he is not there or busy with other customers or gone for the day and someone will contact me. I have not heard from anyone yet.Today 2/7/13 when I called, I was told that money was refunded on 1/28/13 (funny no one told me either by email or phone), when I checked credit was not issued. I called back and was told at their end they show refund was issued. I asked since it is their gift card and they are showing credit, if I can place an order using the refund, I was told NO! I am stuck as they are holding my money for the past 5 weeks. Worse customer service ever.

I ordered sunglasses from globaleyeglasses.com, sounded like a great deal, $32.00 for Rx sunglasses, they looked great on the website. I waited about a month for the sunglasses to arrive.

When the sunglasses arrived, they were actually children size sunglasses made from the cheapest plastic I've ever seen or held and the arms on the glasses are floppy, they are sincerely the cheapest pieces of *** I've ever seen. I emailed and told them just that and what I wanted was to be able to choose another pair and that what they sent me must have been a terrible mistake. But nope, they emailed me back telling me that it's pretty much too bad because that was what I ordered. Well, I ordered from the WOMEN'S SUNGLASSES area of the website, I did not order cheesy, cheap children's sunglasses....HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I think they are answering phones out of some third world country, they are horrible. After reading all of the reviews of how people are having trouble obtaining their refunds, I am afraid to send the *** glasses back now!

Stay away stay far far away from most if not all of these on line discount eye glass companies. They produce *** and then they are impossible to contact to resolve and they are never never going to give you back your money. I purchased a pair of glasses of course they get you with their ad saying $39.00 glasses well I am $246.00 lighter and the glasses are broken after 2 weeks and these people want you to take their pieces of *** glasses to a local optician to fix. Can you believe this ***??? I couldn't but its par for the course with these people? So save your self a whole lot of money and aggravation and go to your local Lens Crafter or site for sore eyes or pearle vision or anybody but these on line *** who wouldn't know a ethic if it bit them on the ***

7 day refund = 2+ months and still waiting for my refund

DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY! Save yourself the headache and electric bill from being put on hold because very rarely does anyone pick up the phone and it takes forever for them to answer live chat. Here's a timeline (still on going) 2/25/12- I ordered a pair of glass. 3/1- Order was sent out and credit card charged. 3/19- contacted them to request a RMA because the size was too small dealing with Jessica. Took another week to get a RMA for a "refund" not an "exchange" (watch out for that) 3/26- I returned the package via FedEx 4/3- package was signed and received by JHARRIS (thanks fedex) 4/23- package was inspected by their returns department ... ok now I'm waiting for the refund on my credit card... 5/18- still no refund and no word from them, so I contact them. Speak with Michael, tells me he'll take care of it... have to send out a check because some BS about not being able to refund to my card and only to a paypal account or check. (sounds like a scam already) "OK, fine send me a check" 5/25- still nothing. Call Michael again. Tells me he's on top of it, and will call me with a check number the next day (more BS) 5/29- get 2 calls one from Michael and another from some other rep with my check number (at least they both gave me the same number, that's a sign of hope right?) 6/7- still nothing, so I call again. This time Danielle answers and says now she's on top of it... more BS It's now 6/11/12 - no one's answer the phones and not answer the live chat. My credit card company has already started a fraud investigation on them... save yourself and your CC company from the headache.

Global Eyeglasses is not the co. that you want to deal with

I ordered 2 pair of glasses on November 11,2011, they were buy 1 get 1 free. I needed computer only because I do not like bi-focals. Apparently they did not understand my prescription but they never contacted me. I was informed of this 2 weeks after my order was placed when I emailed them. After another 2 weeks and many emails with no response they sent me an email and informed me that they waited to long to bill my card and the approval ran out. They then placed an invoice with paypal and when I paid it I paid no attention to the amount because I was pissed and my glasses had broke and I was in dire need of glasses. They then contacted me with mor confusion over my prescription. They contacted me again and in a rude email told me that I DID NOT PAY THEM ENOUGH , LIKE THIS IS MY FAULT i PAID THE INVOICE THAT THEY SENT. It is impossible to pay more or less than the invoice when paying through PayPal. They then sent an additional invoice that when added to the other would have been more than my original invoice. I requested a corrected invoice and have not heard back from them. I have left 2 voicemails and sent 5 emails to no avail. It is now Dec. 20 and still nothing from them. I am beside myself. I think that I have been scammed. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THERE ARE TOO MANY LEGITIMATE COMPANIES OUT THERE.
